Terms of Service
Last updated 17 June 2026
These terms apply when you use Dot Delivery as a customer to request a delivery. By using the app, you agree to them.
What Dot Delivery is
Dot Delivery is a platform that connects customers with independent riders who provide bike-courier services. We are not a courier company ourselves, and we don’t take possession of, or insure, anything in transit — the rider assigned to your delivery does.
Placing an order
You’re responsible for giving an accurate pickup address, drop-off address, and description of what’s being sent. Don’t send anything illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by Zimbabwean law. Currently, all orders are paid in cash on delivery.
Pickup and drop-off codes
Every order generates a pickup code and a drop-off code. Your rider must be given the pickup code before collecting your package, and the drop-off code before the delivery is marked complete. Keep both codes private and only share the relevant one with your assigned rider at the right moment — this is what keeps your delivery secure.
Cancellations
You can cancel a request before a rider has been assigned at no cost. Cancelling after a rider is already on the way may not always be possible without affecting that rider’s time, so please request a delivery only when you’re ready.
Liability
Dot Delivery does not itself transport, take possession of, or insure goods in transit. Responsibility for the safe collection and delivery of a package rests with the rider assigned to that delivery. Please don’t send cash, irreplaceable items, or goods above a reasonable value through the platform.
Where Dot Delivery is found liable for any reason, that liability is limited to the value of the delivery fee paid for the affected order, except where the loss or damage results from Dot Delivery’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct, or where a limitation of this kind isn’t permitted under Zimbabwean law.
Account suspension
We may suspend or close an account for fraud, abuse, harassment of riders, repeatedly providing false information, or other misuse of the platform.
Disputes
If something goes wrong with a delivery, contact us first using the details below — most issues are resolved directly. If we can’t resolve it between us, you can also raise it with the Consumer Protection Commission of Zimbabwe.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
