Rider Agreement

This agreement applies when you're approved to ride for Dot Delivery. By accepting it, you agree to the terms below.
Independent contractor status
As a Dot Delivery rider, you operate as an independent contractor, not an employee. You choose when to be available, you’re free to use other platforms alongside Dot Delivery, and you’re responsible for your own bike, fuel, and any taxes on your earnings.
Eligibility and verification
Before you can accept deliveries, we verify:
- Your national ID and proof of address
- Your vehicle registration and license plate
- A photo of you, matched against your ID
We review applications manually. We may decline an application, or later suspend an account, where verification can’t be confirmed.
Accepting and completing deliveries
You must collect the pickup code from the customer before taking their package, and collect the drop-off code from the recipient before marking the delivery complete. Don’t complete a delivery, or mark one complete, without the correct code — this is what keeps every delivery accountable.
Conduct
Treat customers and their property with care, ride safely, and don’t carry anything you have reason to believe is illegal or prohibited. Harassment, fraud, or repeated unsafe riding will result in suspension.
Payment and commission
Customers currently pay in cash, collected by you directly on delivery. Dot Delivery deducts a platform commission from the fare shown on each completed delivery. The commission rate is displayed in your rider app before you go online — it applies to the base fare only.
You are an independent contractor and are solely responsible for declaring and paying any income tax or other levies on your earnings under Zimbabwean law. Dot Delivery does not withhold tax on your behalf.
Liability
While a package is in your possession, you’re responsible for its safe handling and delivery. Dot Delivery does not insure goods in transit. If a customer raises a dispute about a delivery you completed, we’ll work with you to understand what happened before making any decision about your account.
Suspension and termination
Either of us can end this arrangement at any time. We may suspend or deactivate your account immediately for safety concerns, fraud, or a serious breach of this agreement.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
